Catering


This year the catering at Nationals is going to stand out from other tournaments. We are fortunate that the catering team at Wide Lane have been shut down by the University and as a result we've had to provide other means of catering. This has given us an opportunity to improve the catering at the tournament and we are sure you'll see the benefits. 

A lot of tournaments provide food via a canteen or burger van. While this might work for some tournaments we realise that Nationals is different. Playing at the highest level you need the food that will give you the energy you need, and allow you to have it at the time you need it.

This year we are pleased to announce that the catering at Nationals will be provided by Chef Gary. A hampshire based professional chef, Gary prides himself on providing fresh produce of exceptional quality. Having experience with cooking en masse for weddings, schools, and other large functions he's used to getting food out on time without sacrificing quality or freshness. 

We've worked with Gary, based on last years feedback, to ensure the catering will meet all your needs. Gary operates a no nuts policy to ensure that all his food is nut free. However, if you have any concerns please speak directly with a member of the catering team.

Please note that the venue is CASH only - there are no card facilities on site.

MENUS

Breakfast 8am-10am (Pavillion)

  • Crisy smoked bacon rashers or grilled pork sausage, served in baguette - £2.00
  • Tea and Coffee - £0.50
  • Fresh fruit ( throughout the day ) - £0.50

Snack bar 10.00am onwards

  • Freshly made biscuits: Apricot and ginger flapjacks, Oat and coconut cookies - £0.50
  • Freshly filled baguettes: Ham and salad, Cheese and pickle, Tune and cucumber - £2.00
  • Pasta salads : Tuna, Ham or Cheese.

Pavilion 11.00am onwards (into evening)

  • Freshly made hot pizza slices, Cheese and tomato - £2.00
  • Hot jacket potatoes: Cheese, Tuna or Baked Beans - £4.00
  • Hot pasta, served with choice of toppings: - £4.00
Smoked bacon, tomato and fresh basil
Tomato, fresh basil and parmesan shavings
Cream of chicken and leek

Evening meal - 4pm onwards

  • Chicken Rogan Josh with steamed long grain rice. - £4.00
Medium curry with garlic, fresh ginger, ground spices, tomato and fresh coriander

  • Vegetarian Special - £tbd.

 

  • BBQ Beef burgers or fresh chicken fillet burgers - £3.00

We have been assured that there will be enough catering staff working to provide an efficient service and minimise queuing - something we feel is important.

We ask that no food or drink is brought on-site during the weekend. This includes take-aways for those that are camping. Thank you.
